THH Records - New Release: THH005 Golden Helmets / Jizzlobbers (Split-EP)

THH005 -  Golden Helmets/Jizzlobbers Split-7"
Releasedate: Spring 2011. Both bands are well-known in the German Punkrock-scene, especially in their hometowns Cologne and »Rockcity No. 1« Solingen. JIZZLOBBERS and GOLDEN HELMETS are true »brothers in crime«, not only because they both released their full-length debut-albums on the same label and at the same time in 2010. Now they finally team up on this split-EP!

GOLDEN HELMETS tell you smart things: »In a club at night circumstances change. Everything’s different.« – A good old wisdom. Five yobs, driven by their very own »Mission from God«, can’t help but keeping this wisdom alive. Early they’ve got hooked up with garagepunk by playing in bands like DIRTSHAKES, CAVE 4, CURLEE WURLEE, BATTLEDYKES and THE SHELLS. No matter which country, city or venue – this mission is law and the method is easy, loud and simple: Farfisa-driven 60ies punk and garage-rock combined with a little Northern Soul! And there’s just one rule a wild show by THE GOLDEN HELMETS is based on: »They don’t eat no honey, they’re chewing whole bees.« So, if you ever get the chance to see them live: Don’t miss it! They are ripping party animals!!! GOLDEN HELMETS deliver their masterpiece with their new songs »Run« and »Attractive Depression«! Masterpiece cuz there was always ONE thing to complain about the band: they couldn’t catch their unbelievable live-energy on their studio-recordings. So, there were two choices – to record a liveset or to destroy a studio and polish the new tracks with shitloads of studio-ruin-dirt and Farfisa-crazed-madness! The band made the second choice and the result is ab-za-lootely over the top! One of their songs will soon be released on the GaragePunkHideout-Sampler Volume 5 and they did a cool video for »Run«, too.

The JIZZLOBBERS play energy-driven melodical oldschool-punkrock built on sweat and loads of thirst. The band was born in 2000 sporting current staff members since October 2006. Maybe one or the other has heard about them from great former bands like BACKWOOD CREATURES or HAVANA RAGDOLLS - though propably not. JIZZLOBBERS got the pretty charms of bands like the LAZY COWGIRLS – in their music and some say in their looks, too! Well, musical-wise just add some oldschool-stuff like Mr. Thunder’s HEARTBREAKERS and cool cats like DEVIL DOGS, HUMPERS, BRIEFS, MODERN ACTION and SHARP OBJECTS and you’ll get the picture: Just great ’n catchy Punkrock! JIZZLOBBERS do nothing less than to answer one of the last unsolved mysteries of Punkrock: Who killed Johnny Thunders? The Germans did!!! To be accurate: DIE TOTEN HOSEN (or »The Dead Trousers« in perfect German English)! Those fuckers payed the last cheque for Johnny’s golden shot! And they continued with crimes against Punkrock e.g. by stealing the complete »On A Rope« riff from ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT for one of their shitty songs. Disgusting! But that’s another story... Thank god that there are still bands like the JIZZLOBBERS who still pay respect to the heritage of Mr. Thunders. Listen to the great songs of the JIZZLOBBERS: melody, energy, passion and some great singing. Those guys know how to write AND play amazing Punkrock-tunes! That said, maybe the world will pardon us poor Germans for our sins someday. Call us sweethearts!

THH Records - New Release: THH004 Terrible Feelings

THH004 - Terrible Feelings: Tied Up 7"
Releasedate: Spring 2011. TERRIBLE FEELINGS are four twenty-somethings from Sweden: Manuela sings, Anton plays guitar and sings, Willy plays bass and Andy plays drums. Together they play absolutely fantastic black angst-ridden power-pop and this is their debut-EP (they already did a superb 4-song-demo in early 2010)! Members of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS play/have played in various other bands and projects, some very cool, some not even good. The hometown of the TERRIBLE FEELINGS is Malmö, a world-famous city for cool Punkrock- and Hardcore-bands like FY FAN, SKITKIDS, HERÄTYS, HÅRDA TIDER, SISTA SEKUNDEN (Andy plays the guitar), DIPPER and SLÖA KNIVAR. The band TERRIBLE FEELINGS formed in the fall of 2009, and their basic impetus was to do something that was thoroughly thought through and set them apart from other punk bands in their town. The band once described their sound as »sorta DISCHARGE meets LOST SOUNDS mixed with surf-guitars and 80ies Swedish punkrock. Or something. It's very melodic.« Rob Seaton from Canada voted them »AMAZING!!!« when his band STATUES shared stage with them in Malmö. Guess what. .. he’s right! TERRIBLE FEELINGS will tour Germany and Europe in June 2011 and it’ll be huge!!!
Artwork by Terrible Feelings. 500 copies pressed, two-sided sleeve with lyrics, no special edition, just great music! The band played an acoustic set on record store day 2011 and already sold half of their copies. This thing is going fast ... and here's a video from that recordstore-acoustic-show:

THH Records - New Release: THH003 Steve Adamyk Band/Sonic Avenues

THH003 - Steve Adamyk Band/Sonic Avenues: Eurotour 2011 7" (Split-EP)
Releasedate: Spring 2011 (This is a co-release with P.Trash Records.). If you like both kinds of music, Power and Pop, and if you need your Punkrock sticky like a popsicle, it's time to finally leave the house and go see this double feature of two of the most talked about bands last year. All the way from Canada, THE STEVE ADAMYK BAND and the SONIC AVENUES will keep your ears glued to the PA like a two-component adhesive. And to make sure this will be a night to remember, here's an appropraite souvenir to take home and make love to: A Double-A side split EP with a brand-new original and a superb coverversion by each band. ADAMYK and his band with the super catchy ''Bored of love'', that could work as the perfect opener for a new LP, and ''Eternal Isolation'' by our pals IDLE HANDS, perfectly adapted to their needs with LIZZY dual guitars and vocals. The SONIC AVENUES present themselves even poppier than on their LP with the sugar-coated ''Fading love'' and the wavy and heartbeating SWEET BABY cover of ''Two tons of dynamite''. This very limited platter comes in the German soft-porn design of the 70s and is perfect to join in any escapade, not only with the Bavarian Fräuleins. Don't miss out on this one!

Artwork by Dave Williams. There were special editions: a very limited picture-EP-touredition and a P.Trash club-version. There are still a few copies left of the picture-EP-touredition at my place. If you want one: only ONE per customer!
THH003 - Steve Adamyk Band/Sonic Avenues: Regular edition (middle) and the picture-EP (left/right, front/back).

THH Records - Releases THH000-THH002

I didn't really write much about the releases on my label Timmeheiehumme Records. But here you'll find some words on the releases so far. Infos on the new release will follow soon:

THH002 - Mean Jeans/White Wires: Eurotour 2010 7" (Split-EP)
Releasedate: Fall 2010 (This is a co-release with P.Trash Records.). Please note: This release is DIFFERENT from the split-EP on Dirtnap, that came out the same time.
Two of the best US/Canadian Punkrock-exports! Their superb longplayers made highscores on almost every Punkrock-playlist worldwide and for their Euro-tour they did the only right thing to do: they team up on one EP to cover each other! The retarded party-dudes of the MEAN JEANS took "I Remember How" from the WHITE WIRES and made an ultra-sharp smasher out of it! In return the WHITE WIRES (feat. Ian, Going Gaga Records, SEDATIVES) do a classy version of the MEAN JEANS tune "Born On A Saturday Night", 100% poppy SUPERCHARGER-style. Packed in a beautiful cartoon-artwork this is a true PARTY-RECORD! Listen and believe it!
Artwork by Bernd. There were limited special editions: a THH Records release edition and a P.Trash club-version. And yes... there are still a few copies left of the THH Records release edition. If you want one: only ONE per customer!
THH002 - Mean Jeans/White Wires: Regular edition (left) and THH Records release edition (right) with silkscreend cover-art.

THH001 - Zygoteens: Sleeping With The Stereo On 7"
Releasedate: Summer 2010. Four fantastic Powerpop/Punkrock songs on 45 rpm by this trio from Milwaukee/Wisconsin (feat. Members of GUT REACTIONS and PLEXI 3)!!! Catchy as hell and inspired by THE REAL KIDS, MODERN LOVERS, GIZMOS, DICTATORS and pure teenage folly! The songs of THE ZYGOTEENS are usually kind of fast, pretty loud, and only usually in-tune and on-beat. Under the layers of fuzz, snapped guitar strings and busted drum sticks are well crafted pop-songs that are surprisingly sincere and delivered in an immense outpouring of passion and energy. The songs represented on the "Sleeping With The Stereo On" EP are very autobiographical and cover all bases as to what the band is interested in: girls, sleeping, and watching TV. These songs have the right hooks to provide the soundtrack for your late-night summer dance parties AND the right lyrics if you can't make it to the party because you didn't wanna go outside so you just decide to fall asleep while watching TV ... OR if you're at the party and you see that girl you have a crush on in the arms of some other jerk. So whatever you're doing on Saturday night, these songs have got ya covered!
Artwork by Bernd. 400 copies pressed. There is also a small limited edition of 100 copies with a different silkscreen-artwork (silver on black cardboard). There are still a few copies left of the THH Records release edition. If you want one: only ONE per customer!
THH001 - Zygoteens: Regular edition (left) and limited silkscreen-edition (right).

THH000 - The Missing Shadows: Wrecked Emotions 7"
Releasedate: December 2008 (SOLD OUT). Punkrock from Osnabrück/Germany (pre-IDLE HANDS). This was a co-release with Hits Missing and Drugcontrol.
If you went nuts for the fantastic IDLE HANDS single in fall 2008 (the 500 copies sold out in something like five minutes) you better make sure to check out this baby! THE MISSING SHADOWS are Andi’s (IDLE HANDS bandleader) original band and they finally put out six great new songs on their brandnew “Wrecked Emotions” EP as an amazing follower to their highly appreciated LP on P.Trash Records (released in 2007). Hailing from the same scene as bands like PRESS GANG, DEAN DIRG, GRIZZLY ADAMS BAND or DUESENJAEGER, this one is another stepstone for the new wave of german underground Punkrock and Hardcore-bands! Tunes like “Burnout” or “Wrecked Emotions” will bite your ear better than Mike Tyson did! Wild and nervous oldschool-punkrock meets fine melodies, somewhere between ANGRY SAMOANS, WIPERS, HÜSKER DÜ and younger bands like AGGRAVATION, TOYOTAS or the aforementioned IDLE HANDS. Or as the band says: “Our Rock will fuck you!”
300 copies pressed. The THH version (100 copies) had a special extra-postcard. If you got one you are lucky, cuz the THH version is totally sold out! You may still get some from the band or from P.Trash Records...
